My week in La Ventana was unforgettable, Kelsey did it again! This is my third trip with her and she is in my opinion the absolute best expedition leader…her attention to detail, her passion and respect for the ocean and its wildlife and the way she partners with locals are what make her trips remarkable. The highlight was witnessing the mobula ray migration. Seeing massive fevers of rays gliding through the water and launching themselves into the air is something I'll never forget. Every day on the ocean felt like a new adventure, whether it was watching sperm whales from the boat to swimming with dolphins Kelsey, Katy(our local guide from Latitudes Encounters) and Chillean(our boat captain were mindful of our and the wildlife’s wellbeing. What made this trip so special wasn't just the amazing wildlife, but also the sense of community. I met wonderful people, learned so much about the local ecosystem, and came home with incredible memories!

I had a really positive overall experience on the Mobula Rays & Megafauna trip from June 7–13, 2026! Kelsey was wonderful to communicate with and made the whole process feel easy, organised and welcoming. Our guide Katy was also great. She was knowledgeable, approachable and lovely to spend time with, and our boat captain Cano did a great job making the days on the water feel safe and well managed. There were some really special moments throughout the trip, both on and off the water, and it was amazing to experience the marine life in such a beautiful place. It was a really memorable experience with a genuinely lovely team and group of girls. I will happily book another trip with Wander Out Expeditions in the future! Thankyou for a great week!!!

I had never done anything like the Mobula ray ocean safari before. I’ve been home for 2 days and can’t stop thinking about what an amazing experience it was! Kelsey’s passion for the ocean and the people she partners with made me feel so welcome and comfortable. After a little learning curve on day one I got on the boat everyday excited for what was to come. Simply being out there and exploring was amazing and the wildlife spotting and interactions are things I’ll never forget. Everything was handled incredibly well, from pick ups, to accommodations, to the daily schedule, I loved not having to think about any of the details and just get to enjoy what the day would bring. Unforgettable experience.

Wander Out Ocean Safari in La Ventana, Mexico was nothing short of extraordinary, and once again, Kelsey and Katy made the experience unforgettable. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to finding wildlife while respecting the marine environment are truly exceptional. This year’s safari exceeded all expectations. We were fortunate enough to encounter giant oceanic manta rays, a mako shark, the puffer fish palooza, humpback whales, and what seemed like every species of dolphin in the area. Each day brought new surprises and incredible opportunities to observe these animals in their natural habitat. As always, the mobula rays were absolutely spectacular. Watching massive schools of mobulas leap and glide across the water is one of nature’s most breathtaking displays, and it remains a highlight of every trip to La Ventana. Kelsey and Katy’s expertise, professionalism, and passion for the ocean create an experience that is both exciting and educational. Their ability to locate wildlife and share insights about the animals and ecosystem adds tremendous value to every outing. If you’re considering an ocean safari in La Ventana, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It continues to be one of the most remarkable wildlife adventures we’ve ever experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning again.

Raja Ampat 2026
The Raja Ampat Liveaboard scuba diving trip with Wander Out Expeditions was a dream come true! Every detail was well planned out and communicated, making it easy to prepare for such a big adventure. Kelsey did a fantastic job planning and leading the expedition, from selecting an amazing boat, answering any and all questions, and ensuring everything went smoothly while aboard the ship. The boat itself was beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped and staffed by great people who safely led our dives and cooked delicious food for every meal. Of course the highlight was the diving - 3-4 dives a day to see stunning marine life and corals! Each day also included an epic excursion to smaller islands for hikes and scenic views. I would 100% recommend booking with Wander Out!

This trip was absolutely incredible! The best part aside from swimming with orcas were the people. They made the trip even more magical. Kelsey is an amazing, engaged host who is easy to talk to. She brings the best people together. The vibes were high! The crew were also amazing and so fun to get to know. I appreciate Kelsey's commitment to connecting people closer to the wild in a highly ethical way with a strong focus on regenerative tourism. Honestly, it’s hard to put this trip into words. Everything from the itinerary and organization, the pace kept throughout the week, the like-minded people brought together, the conversations, the food, the gorgeous airbnb we all stayed in together, the vibes.. I could go on, lol. And obviously wow, of course.. swimming with the whales. Kelsey has created a community that she is integrated in, in French Polynesia, and it shows in the hands and hearts that help make this trip, a trip of a lifetime. The captains of the boat, the naturalists, the chefs, and the friendships involve show the importance of community. We shared the ethereal and magical experience of being in the presence of French Polynesia’s humpback whale population. My boyfriend and I had an extraordinary week with Kelsey. She also provided us photos of our trip throughout the week. I have travelled a lot in this world, mostly solo, but this trip made me realize how much fun and inspiring group trips can be. I feel lucky! Thank you for everything Kelsey, see you next time!

This was one of my favorite trips to date. I came solo but the whole group was an awesome vibe. Kelsey took care of all the transportation on the island and meals were amazing. The price is really a great value when you consider everything she handles. Boat and crew were great. LOTs of swimming but worth it for the unforgettable encounters. This trip was a dream come true. I've always wanted to swim with Whales and Wander Out Expeditions made my dream a reality. We stayed in a bungalow next to the beach, waking up every morning, drinking coffee and watching whales breach from our patio. The food was AMAZING. Cooked by a local chef, everything was fresh and delicious. Kelsey was also amazing, covering every detail and making sure everyone was safe and had fun. She even got a cake for one of the girls birthdays. We all had a blast and really enjoyed our time. I'll definitely do another trip with Wander Out in the future.

This trip was an unforgettable and magical experience. Kelsey was an amazing communicator and kept us updated on all plans. She sent us detailed guides to help us pack and prepare for the trip. She arranged for pick up from the ferry and had many suggestions of what to do before/after the trip began. Our accommodation on Mo'orea was beautiful and spacious, and we were provided plenty of delicious food made by a local woman to eat all week long. Kelsey made sure we were prepared for each day on the boat and shared so much knowledge with us about the whales and marine life in the area. I love that she worked with local people to set up everything. Swimming with the whales was an amazing experience. We were so lucky to see several whales each day and even rare species. The energy on the boat was always positive and I never felt pressured to do anything I was not comfortable with. Every day was a new adventure and we all had a great time as a group! She made sure we had down time built into the schedule as well to rest from the day. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone interested in coming to French Polynesia to swim with the whales! An unforgettable experience! The whale encounters were absolutely spectacular, yet very respectful to the animals. Overall, the tour is very well organized, from communication, to accommodation (very comfortable), and food (absolutely delicious). Kelsey puts together beautiful and unforgettable trips! This is my second time visiting Mo’orea with Wander Out and it only keeps getting better! Kelsey picks super comfortable lounging, caters the best local foods while accommodating food needs and does an incredible job showing you the spirit of the island both on land and in water. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone wanting an adventurous trip and will be booking with her again! With so many people offering trips it’s important to me to book with someone who genuinely cares about the wildlife first off but also the local population of people. Absolutely magical! Kelsey hosts the most memorable trips and Baja was no exception. Every morning we set out just to find whatever encounters the ocean would treat us to and it exceeded expectations, from the chillest group of mobulas to dolphins, blue whales, pufferfish to orcas! (But the puffers really made for a fun morning and I think we all left with a newfound love for our pokey friends) Thank you to our incredible Captain Cano, our expert guide Katy (and her endless entertainment), our house papi Carlos, and the best trip host of all time, Kelsey! This epic team made respecting the animals the priority while still allowing us the rare opportunity to join them in the blue. Same time next year for a double memorial and every year after! <3

“I cannot rave enough about Wanderout Expeditions and our host Kelsey during our whale expedition in Mo’orea. From meeting us to take us to our amazing accommodations, the personalized welcome gift celebrating other small businesses to the traditional Polynesian first dinner together as a group, every detail was perfect and did not go unnoticed. As one of the first groups of whale season in Mo’orea we encountered some pretty rough seas but it didn’t stop us from having epic experiences in the water. Whales may be the main event but I was thrilled to swim with pilot whales, dolphins, stingrays, black tip reef sharks and even an oceanic white tip sighting. Kelsey really goes above & beyond to prep her guests for the experience to maximize their opportunity to see the abundant marine life Mo’orea has to offer, while simultaneously capturing incredible pics and videos of those encounters. I highly recommend not worrying about bringing your own camera on every “drop” and just embrace the experience because it is truly life changing and better when you aren’t looking behind a lens. “I cannot recommend enough embarking on an expedition with Wander Out, it was an absolute once in a lifetime experience, a dream with eyes wide open, coexisting with the whales in their natural habitat, is incredibly humbling, grounding and an out of body magical sensation, where time slows down and you feel like you belong right there in that moment, each one greater than the last, as the entire world fades away. Kelsey is a skilled spotter who always gets you up close and personal for truly unique encounters, while still respecting these majestic animals. She’s a seasoned photographer with an eye for the perfect shot. I know there are a lot of whale watching tours out there, but what really sets WO expeditions aside is the perfect balance between getting a beautiful photo and not being taken out of the moment to get it. "I had the absolute best time with Wander Out Expeditions in La Ventana, Mexico. It was my first group expedition as a solo traveler and I could not have asked for a better experience. Kelsey made sure that everything went perfectly, and we had such a fun and relaxed time throughout the whole week. The Sea of Cortez provided us with pretty much all of the species that lives and migrates there. Magical encounters that I will remember for a lifetime.
