PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
PAYMENTS:
The payment schedule for expeditions is as follows but subject to change depending on the time of reservation and the nature of the trip.

Payment 1: Non refundable deposit payment to confirm and save dates

Payment 2: Second payment due 6 months before the trip departure date

Payment 3: Final payment due 120 days before the trip
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your trip you must send in a written notification to hi@wanderoutexpeditions.com & once that is received, the following cancellation penalties will apply:

120 days or more prior to departure: Full refund minus the deposit

91 through 119 days prior to departure: 50% of expedition fare minus the deposit

1 through 90 days prior to departure: No refund
It is recommended that you purchase Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance as coverage against an unforeseen emergency that may force you to cancel or leave the expedition while it is in progress. Failure to deliver complete payment 120 days prior to the start of the expedition will be considered a cancellation by default and is subject to cancellation charges as stated above. We also reserve the right to deny participation to anyone whom it deems unsuitable for a trip. If the trip is cancelled due to Covid 19 reasons, you will be refunded in full OR we will shift the trip to another date depending on the global situation at that time.
Travel insurance:
Should you have to cancel your trip because of illness, injury or death to you or an immediate family member, this insurance protects all your deposits and payments for both air and trip costs. Wander Out Expeditions recommends that you purchase this insurance at the time of sign-up to be covered for pre-existing conditions (certain restrictions apply). While Wander Out Expeditions does not offer travel insurance, we will gladly assist you sign up with a recommended agency. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip insurance as we will not be liable for any financial loss caused by reasons out of our control, such as natural disasters and weather that causes flight delays.
If we
cancel a trip:
Wander Out Expeditions reserves the right to cancel all or a portion of a trip for force majeure or any other circumstances beyond our control and, in the event of such cancellation, full or partial refunds, if any, will be at Wander Out Expeditions sole discretion. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip if sign-up is inadequate to make the trip economically feasible for us to operate, and in this event, we give a full refund of the trip price. However, we are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, gear or medical expenses).
Fewer than required number of participants:
Each trip requires a minimum number of participants for departure. If we have enough participants to run a trip but unexpected cancellations drop the number of participants below the required minimum, it will be at the discretion of Wander Out Expeditions to determine if it’s economically feasible for us to operate, and in this event, we will refund the full trip price.
REFUNDS:
Wander Out Expeditions does not give any refunds for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing trips or boat arrangements. Trip price is quoted as a package; credits are not given for services not used. All participants must sign the following Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement.
